Doing Your Make Up Blind as a Bat

I’m still a newbie but I’ve learned a thing or two!

I was a total late bloomer with make up. Didn’t really see the point, didn’t like taking the time. After 3 kids its a super fun outlet, allows a lot of creativity. After therapy, its also super fine that it is just a pretty thing for me to enjoy! (Don’t laugh, it took a while to get there!)

A big problem and a learning curve I had to overcome was my glasses. I don’t think I can see a full foot without them—and I mean my laptop screen is unreadable without them, not a wee blur.

Laser surgery ain’t gunna happen, so to wear glasses, I came up with just a few tiny tricks that will help your look stay super clean; avoiding the bumps and guesswork nearsighted (AF) people tend to use.

The Tips I Use Every Time:

1. Use travel sizes for short length and no bumping tools or cosmetics into mirror

2. If you’re competing with awesome bright or chunky glasses, go bigger. I was always so shy of this it looked like no make up at all!

3. Use a curler, it is worth the step! USE IT BEFORE MASCARA (if you like having lashes)!

4. Use magnified mirrors for eyes if possible, or a strong back to move back and forth. It’s kind of like doing standing sit-ups, leaning into the mirror a billion times to check.

5. Hold near end of your tool, elbow in (watch that chicken wing is a good life tip)!

*Bonus tip: let it set, or you will have a slide mark on your nose right away!

Do you have vision issues? Comment below a tip for making the cosmetic process less arduous! I’d love to know how farsighted people find it! (And can anyone tell me: best super-thick demi-lash? hard to find falsies that don’t bump my lenses!)
